Hoonah, Alaska.

A story about the Northern loggers in the late 1800 couldn't be told without a Wannigan. It was their floating cookhouse and headquarters that held all the tools and supplies they needed to float the felled logs down from the forests to the markets to be sold.

For the film, Set Designer and Builder, Stephen Miller assembled two different Wannigan sets with help from the local people. Later, he said, "The wonderful people in Game Creek, AK went the extra mile to help us complete the Wannigan. I will never forget how helpful and kind they were."
