Hoonah, Alaska.

After all the normal commercial flights to arrive to Alaska, we had

to take a 3 hour ferry ride through the Icy Strait.

Once we got to the island, we drove for about an hour till the road ended and there they had to put all the equipment on four-wheelers to get into the camp.

Up until that point, sure, it felt pretty remote, but when they started placing

all the equipment on a flat bed truck to go further in, at that point I was like,

'you have got to be kidding me!' Every step of the way was absolutely breathtaking though. ~Lisa Stendal, Director of The Parish of the Pines on arriving to Hoonah, Alaska to film for the very first time.
