“After looking all over the place, we finally found our schoolhouse location in the Proctor Valley in Montana. A perfectly preserved old school complete with desks and everything from 100 years ago. Some of the local children were extras. It is one of the most authentic and picturesque scenes in the movie. We filmed in September so we even picked the apples that are in the scene from a tree right outside the schoolhouse.”
